Transitioning Your Care to an Off-Platform Provider

While we strive to provide a comprehensive home for your mental health care, we understand that you may occasionally choose to see a provider who is in-network with your insurance but practices outside of the Spring Health platform.

What to Expect When Moving Off-Platform

When you switch to a provider outside of Spring Health, your experience will change in a few key ways:

  • Billing & Rates: All charges will be determined by that specific provider’s practice and your insurance plan's coverage.
  • Scheduling: You will need to coordinate all future appointments directly with the provider’s office. These sessions will no longer appear in your Spring Health dashboard or app.

Proactive Steps for a Smooth Transition

To avoid any financial surprises, we recommend the following steps:

  1. Verify with the Provider: Ask the provider’s office for their specific billing policies, no-show fees, and session rates.
  2. Contact Your Insurance: Speak with your insurance carrier directly to confirm the provider is in-network and to get a clear breakdown of your expected out-of-pocket costs (copays, deductibles, etc.).

If you have questions about how to close out your Spring Health account or if you would like your Spring Health records transferred to a new provider, please let us know.
