Understanding Your Options for Ongoing Care

If you have recently changed employers or are no longer affiliated with the organization that sponsors your Spring Health benefit, please contact our team directly. Our Care Team can help clarify your eligibility, discuss options for continuing care, and support you with transitioning or accessing your records.

We’re honored to be part of your mental health journey and want to help ensure your care continues as smoothly as possible. If you have used all your sponsored sessions for the year but remain an eligible member through your employer or health plan, you can often continue seeing your provider depending on your location and benefits.

For U.S.-based members

If you have used your allotted sponsored sessions but are still an eligible member, you should continue scheduling directly through the Spring Health platform. Depending on your benefits and preferences, you can continue care using one of the following options:

  • Insurance: In many cases, we can bill your insurance directly. To help avoid any gaps in care, we recommend adding your insurance information to your account as soon as possible.
  • Self-Pay: If you prefer not to use insurance, or if we’re unable to bill your specific plan, you may have the option to pay for sessions directly. To understand your financial responsibilities under this model, please review our guides on Navigating Out-of-Network Insurance Claims and Continuing Care with Out-of-Network Insurance.

For members outside the U.S.

In some regions, care through Spring Health is limited strictly to sponsored sessions. If you’re located outside the U.S. and have used all available sponsored sessions, you may be unable to continue scheduling appointments through the platform. Our Care Team can help explain what regional alternative options may be available to you.

Eligibility Notes

If you have completely lost your eligibility due to leaving your company or a major change in your health plan layout, you may lose access to your platform dashboard entirely. For details on how timelines, clinical notes, and data access work during this transition, please read our guide on What to Do if You Received an Account Deactivation Notice.

Transitioning Off-Platform (New Insurance / Provider Matching)

We understand that life transitions happen, such as changing your job or switching to a new health insurance provider. If your current Spring Health provider is not in-network with your new insurance carrier and you cannot continue with self-pay, you do not have to navigate this transition alone.

Our Care Team offers a dedicated Off-Platform Referral process. If you need to transition your care to a completely new provider outside of Spring Health, contact our team. We will manually coordinate with your new insurance plan to identify and provide you with a list of vetted, local, in-network mental health professionals who accept your new coverage.
