If you created an account by mistake or have decided to stop using Spring Health services, we can help you deactivate your profile. Deactivating your digital account, which covers your login and app access, is different from deleting your medical records. Different legal requirements apply to each.
What It Covers and What It Doesn’t
When you request account deletion, we remove your ability to log in and use our platform. Because Spring Health is a healthcare provider, we are legally required to keep certain information.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
- Digital access: You will no longer be able to log in to the Spring Health website or mobile app.
- Appointments: Future scheduled appointments will be canceled automatically.
- Financial requirements: Any outstanding balance must be paid in full before the account can be deleted.
Why Medical Records (PHI) are Retained
As a healthcare organization, the information we collect is Protected Health Information (PHI) under HIPAA. We can’t delete your medical record for several reasons:
- Legal compliance: Federal and state laws require us to keep patient records for a set number of years.
- Safety and continuity: Your records support informed clinical decisions if you return to care.
- Quality assurance: Complete records are needed for internal audits and for maintaining high standards of care.
How to Request Deletion
If you wish to proceed with removing your profile from our system, you can request this directly from your account.
- Log in to your account on the Spring Health website or mobile app.
- Navigate to your Account Settings → Security.
- In the “Delete account” section, enter your reason for deletion and submit your request.

We take your data privacy seriously. Your medical records remain protected by strict security standards even after your account is closed.
- Review Our Policies: You can find more details in our Privacy Policy.
- Contact the Privacy Office: For questions about your data, email privacy@springhealth.com.
