Transparency is a cornerstone of our care. We want you to feel completely secure knowing exactly where your data goes and, more importantly, where it doesn't.
How Your Recording IS Used
The primary goal of session recording is to enhance clinical quality while allowing your provider to be 100% focused on you.
- Clinical Accuracy: Audio recordings are used to generate highly accurate, structured transcripts. This helps your provider capture nuances without the distraction of manual note-taking.
- Streamlined Documentation: Transcripts help automate and standardize clinical notes (like "Session Focus" or "Treatment Goals"), ensuring your medical records are precise.
- Short-Term Care Planning: Your provider (and authorized care team members) can access the raw transcript for a short period of time to review progress and tailor your next steps. After that period, the raw transcript is deleted.
- Quality Monitoring: A de-identified version of the transcript—scrubbed of all Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI)—is stored in our secure, HIPAA-compliant data warehouse. This helps us standardize care and improve outcomes across the platform.
How Your Recording IS NOT Used
Your trust is essential, so we have built strict "walls" around this data.
- No Employer Access: Transcripts are strictly confidential. They are never shared with your employer or benefit sponsor.
- No Video Recording: We only record audio. Your video feed is never captured.
- No Permanent Audio Storage: The raw audio file is deleted immediately after the transcript is generated.
- No External Use: Your data is used only in service of care delivery. It is never sold or used for purposes unrelated to your treatment.
- No Legal Release: Transcripts are not released for legal purposes, preserving the privacy of the therapeutic alliance.
Transcripts from session recordings are not eligible for disclosure. We’re happy to help facilitate the release of your office notes; however, session transcripts are collected solely for administrative purposes and are not available as part of a right of access request.
