Please note: Dependent eligibility varies by benefit plan. Not all sponsoring organizations include dependent coverage, and some may have specific eligibility criteria. To confirm whether dependents are covered under your plan, please contact your sponsoring organization.
If your sponsored benefit includes dependents, your adult family members (ages 18+) can access their own private Spring Health account. Unlike minor profiles, adult dependent accounts are entirely standalone and are not linked to or visible by the primary member's account. This ensures complete clinical privacy and allows the dependent to manage their own appointments, care plan, and communications independently.
How to Sign Up
There are two easy paths for an adult dependent to establish their private account
Option 1: Primary Member Sends an Invitation (Recommended)
If the primary member already has an active Spring Health account, they can send a direct signup link:
- Log in to your account at care.springhealth.com.
- Navigate to Account → Family, then select Add Family.
- Choose Invite an Adult.
- Enter the dependent’s full name, date of birth, and email address.
The dependent will receive a secure email invitation with instructions to create their account. After sending the invite, the primary member will also see a confirmation screen with the option to copy the invite link and share it directly.
Note: If you do not see the "Family" tab anywhere in your account, dependents may not be covered under your organization's benefit plan.
Option 2: Dependent Self-Registration
Adult dependents do not have to wait for an email invite; they can register themselves at any time:
- Go directly to care.springhealth.com/register.
- On the activation page, select Activate as a dependent.
- Enter your legal first name, last name, and date of birth.
- Complete the remaining profile setup fields and choose a unique password.
Verification & Signup Issues
If our system cannot locate your benefit during self-registration, the portal will ask you to provide a few details about the primary member who holds the benefit (such as their full name, date of birth, or company email address).
- The primary member will not be notified when you enter their information or when your account is built.
- If you do not know the primary subscriber's exact details, simply click "I don’t have this information" and fill out the remaining fields. Your form will be routed directly to our support team to locate your plan manually and get you online.
Privacy Guidelines
Adult dependent accounts are 100% private. The primary account holder (the person who sponsors your benefit) cannot access your account, view your sessions, your selected providers, your clinical notes, or your billing information.
Neither party will ever be able to see each other's care paths or account dashboards. If you ever choose or wish to share any of your clinical or account information with the primary account holder, a signed Release of Information (ROI) form is legally required. To initiate an ROI or learn more about the process, please reach out directly to our Care Team.
