Creating a Spring Health Account as an Adult Dependent

Please note: Dependent eligibility varies by benefit plan. Not all sponsoring organizations include dependent coverage, and some may have specific eligibility criteria. To confirm whether dependents are covered under your plan, please review your Spring Health account or contact our team for assistance.

If your sponsored benefit includes dependents, your adult family members (ages 18+) can access their own private Spring Health account. Unlike minor accounts, adult dependent accounts are not linked to the primary member's account. This ensures complete clinical privacy and allows the dependent to manage their own appointments, care plan, and communications independently.

Option 1: Invite Your Dependent (Recommended)

If you already have a Spring Health account, you can invite your adult dependent directly from the platform.

  1. Log in to your account at care.springhealth.com.
  2. Navigate to Account Settings → Family, then select Add Family.
  3. Choose Invite an Adult.
  4. Enter your dependent’s:
  • First and last name
  • Date of birth
  • Email address

Your dependent will receive an email invitation with instructions to create their own Spring Health account. After sending the invite, you’ll also see a confirmation screen with the option to copy the invite link and share it directly.

Note: If you do not see the "Family" tab, your specific benefit plan may not include dependents.

Option 2: Dependent Self-Registration

Adult dependents can also choose to sign up on their own without waiting for an invitation.

  1. As the dependent, go to care.springhealth.com/register.
  2. On the Activate your Spring Health benefit page, select Activate as a dependent.
  3. Enter your legal first name, last name, and date of birth.
  4. Complete any additional information required during the signup process.

Once registered, the adult dependent’s account is entirely separate from the primary benefit holders. Neither party will be able to see each other's sessions, provider recommendations, or billing statements.

Verification Issues

If we’re unable to locate your benefit, you’ll be asked to provide information about the person who shares the benefit with you (the primary member), such as their name, date of birth, and email address (if available). The primary member will not be notified of this registration.

  • If you don’t have this information, select “I don’t have this information” and complete the remaining fields. Your request will be submitted to our support team for review.
