International Considerations: Billing and insurance processes vary by country and region. This process applies to U.S.-based members only. If you are located outside the U.S., please contact your Care Navigator for next steps.
Adding your insurance to your Spring Health account is a simple way to ensure your care remains seamless once your sponsored sessions are completed. By keeping your information current, you allow us to help you navigate your coverage and manage your costs with ease.
Step-by-Step: Adding or Updating Your Insurance
You can add or update your insurance information at any time through the mobile app or a web browser.
On a Desktop Web Browser
Log In: Access your account dashboard at care.springhealth.com.
Navigate to Billing: Click on the Billing tab located on your dashboard menu.
Enter Details: Select Wallet, find the Insurance section, and click Add insurance. Follow the prompts to enter your Carrier, Plan Name, Member ID, Group ID, and upload images of the front and back of your insurance card.
Make Changes: To update an existing plan on file, select Update and edit the fields as applicable.
On the Mobile App
- Open the App: Log into your Spring Health mobile app.
Tap the Settings Icon: Tap the gear wheel icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen (it is located right between the messaging arrow icon and the help icon).
Open Wallet: A menu will pop up from the bottom of your screen. Select Wallet, then scroll down to the Insurance Information section.
Update Details: Edit your insurance information, then hit Save.
Note: If you have secondary insurance that includes mental health benefits, Spring Health may be able to submit claims on your behalf. In this case, reach out to our team with a copy of the front and back of your secondary insurance card.
Managing Your Billing Preferences
You have control over how your claims are handled once you transition to insurance-based care:
- If you’d like Spring Health to submit claims to your insurance automatically, toggle “Bill my insurance” on. We’ll submit the claim, and if anything isn’t covered, you’ll be billed for the remaining balance.
- Toggle this feature Off if you prefer to be billed the full session cost upfront. You’ll be billed for the full session cost and can request reimbursement directly from your insurance.
