Your trust matters to us, and we are committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and respectful environment for your care. Your employer (or the organization that provides your Spring Health benefit) will not know whether you’ve registered, completed an assessment, or booked a session.
How Your Information is Protected
Your privacy and confidentiality are foundational to your care. Spring Health operates as a healthcare provider and is required to protect your personal and health information in accordance with laws like HIPAA in the U.S. and comparable global data protection standards.
- Strict Confidentiality: Your clinical information is accessible only to your designated providers and authorized Spring Health staff who support your care.
- Clinical Separation: Employers are strictly blocked from accessing individual-level clinical data.
- Consent-Based Sharing: If you choose to share information with another party (such as a primary care provider), we require your explicit written authorization first.
What Your Organization Does Not See
Your employer or benefit sponsor does not have access to:
- Your name or identity in relation to the service.
- Confirmation of whether or not you are using Spring Health.
- Assessment responses, scores, or clinical diagnoses.
- Session attendance, therapist notes, or recordings.
- What you discuss with your therapist or care team.
Your use of Spring Health is not shared with your manager, HR, or leadership team and will never appear in personnel files, performance reviews, or employment records.
What Organizations May See
To evaluate the success of the program, organizations receive high-level, de-identified and aggregated reports. These reports focus on the group, never the individual.
What They See (Anonymized) |
What They NEVER See (Private) |
| Total Usage: e.g., "15% of employees used a session this month." | Your Name: They cannot see who is included in that percentage. |
| Aggregate Trends: e.g., "Stress is the top concern for the company." | Your Assessment: Your specific answers remain private. |
| Program Engagement: e.g., Total number of app downloads. | Session Notes: What you say in therapy is never reported. |
Legal and Safety Exceptions
As with all licensed healthcare providers, there are limited legal exceptions where information must be shared to protect safety:
- Immediate risk of harm: Imminent threat to yourself or others.
- Mandated reporting: Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable individual.
- Legal mandates: Valid court orders, subpoenas, or other specific legal requirements.
