Requesting Your Medical Records

Please note: The Records Portal is currently available via web or mobile browser only and cannot be accessed through the Spring Health mobile app.

We believe you should have fast, transparent access to your health information. Our self-service records portal allows you to view and download your clinical documents directly from your Spring Health account—no manual requests or wait times required.

Navigating the Process

Retrieving your records takes only a few clicks. You can download individual files or select multiple documents for a bulk download.

  1. Log In: Click here to log into your account and access your Records Portal.
  2. Go to Records: Navigate to the Records tab to view your digital file library.
  3. Filter & Download: Use the type or date filters to find specific documents. Select one or multiple records and click Download.

Requesting Care Navigation or Couples/Family Notes

Because Care Navigation interactions and joint family/couples therapy files involve distinct privacy and data coordination standards, they cannot be instantly downloaded via the portal.

To request these specific records, please reach out to our support team directly. To help us process your request as efficiently as possible, please provide your full legal name, date of birth, and the specific date range of the records you are looking for.

Important Things to Know

  • Finalization is Required: Documents only appear in your account once your provider has officially signed them. If a recent session note is missing, please allow a brief window for your provider to complete and close out their clinical documentation.
  • Managing Records for Dependents: Parents or legal guardians of nested minors can access and download their dependent’s records. For privacy compliance, minors cannot access their own clinical records directly through the portal. Portal access rules automatically update when a minor turns 18 or becomes un-nested.
  • Sharing Your Records: The portal is currently download-only. To share documents with an external doctor or specialist, simply download the secure PDF to your personal device and provide it to them directly.

Accessibility and Support

While the portal is designed to streamline access, our Care Team is always available to assist members who face barriers to using the tool or require manual processing. We can directly manage your request if you experience:

  • Alternative Delivery Needs: You need your records sent directly to you or a specific third party (such as an external doctor or insurance carrier).
  • Technical or Access Barriers: You face limited technology access or encounter issues navigating the web portal.
  • Complex Situations: You have other access challenges or have time-sensitive employment or pay-related documentation needs.

Notice for Deactivated Members

If your Spring Health account has been deactivated (for example, due to a change in employment or insurance coverage), you are still completely eligible to receive your full medical records.

While you will no longer be able to log into the self-service portal, you can initiate a manual records request at any time by reaching out to our Care Team.
