If you're having trouble with your camera during a video session, here’s how to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Your Camera
- Ensure your camera is connected, powered on, and facing you.
- Verify you’ve selected the correct camera, especially if you have an external monitor or other devices attached.
- Test your camera in another app (e.g., FaceTime on macOS or the Camera app on Windows) to ensure it’s working.
2. Close Other Apps Using the Camera
- Make sure no other apps are accessing the camera at the same time. Close any apps that may be using it, then reload the page.
3. Update Your Browser
Outdated browsers may cause camera issues. Follow these guides to update yours:
4. Allow Camera Access in Your Browser
Google Chrome
- Click the permissions icon in the address bar (left side).
- Select Reset Permissions.
- Refresh the Virtual Appointment page.
- When prompted, allow camera and microphone access.
Safari
- Open Safari Settings.
- Click Websites, then choose Camera.
- Set the camera permissions for springhealth to Allow.
Firefox
- Click the permissions icon in the address bar.
- Clear any status next to Allowed, Blocked, etc.
- Refresh the Virtual Appointment page, and allow permissions when prompted.
Microsoft Edge
- Click the permissions icon in the address bar.
- Select Always allow and click Done.
- Refresh the Virtual Appointment page.
Allow System Access to Your Camera

- Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Ensure the app (Google Chrome, Safari, etc.) is checked.
Windows
- Open Start > Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Turn on Camera access, and allow apps to access your camera.
